About

Why I built this

D.scribe is voice-to-manuscript software that turns the talks, sermons, and coaching sessions you have already recorded into a finished book, for speakers, pastors, and coaches.

D.Scribe started in 2025 as a gift for one person.

My wife's mom is a minister with a real gift for speaking. Put her in front of a room and the words just come. She had wanted to write a book for years, but every time she sat down to a blank page, she froze. Where do you start? How do you shape years of thoughts into chapters? The book lived in her voice, and the page kept getting in the way.

So my wife and I built her a tool. She talks, freely, the way she always has, and it turns her words into written prose with a structure she can build on.

It was supposed to be a fun family project. Then I started hearing the same story everywhere. Pastors, speakers, leaders, grandparents, everyday people with something worth saying, all carrying a book in their head and no way to get it onto paper. That's when D.Scribe stopped being a side project and became something I care about deeply.

If you can say it, you can write it. We built D.Scribe to prove that.

What D.scribe does

D.scribe is voice-to-manuscript software for speakers, pastors, and coaches. You upload the recordings you already have: sermons, coaching calls, keynotes, voice memos. D.scribe transcribes them, builds a voice profile from how you actually talk, and drafts your manuscript chapter by chapter.

Every key point comes from your own words. The draft lands in a manuscript editor where every sentence is yours to change, and it exports to PDF or DOCX when you say it is done.

What makes D.scribe different

Built for spoken content, not typing

Fiction tools like Sudowrite and NovelCrafter start from a blank page and a prompt. D.scribe starts from the recordings you already have — a sermon, a keynote, a coaching call. Sudowrite handles paragraphs. D.scribe handles books.

One pipeline from audio to export

ChatGPT and Claude can draft passages, but they keep no project memory and export no manuscript. D.scribe carries your book from upload through transcription, structure, drafting, editing, and a finished PDF or DOCX in one place.

Book-length output, in your voice

Repurposing tools like Castmagic and Descript cut your audio into clips and show notes. D.scribe builds a voice profile from how you actually talk and writes a full, coherent manuscript — the whole book, not the highlights.

A ghostwriter alternative at a fraction of the cost

Ghostwriters charge $10,000 to $50,000 per book. D.scribe starts at $25 per month. Same outcome: a finished manuscript in your voice.

Pay for what you use

Credits (called Ink) are shown before every AI action, unused credits roll over, and overage is blocked with a warning — never a surprise charge. A typical full 40,000-word book runs about 100 to 200 Ink.

Frequently asked questions

How does D.scribe work?

Enter the brainstorm studio to spend as much time as you like being interviewed by T.H.E.O, our specialist AI interviewer. Or, upload any existing audio — a sermon, a coaching call, a YouTube link, a podcast episode, or a voice memo. D.scribe transcribes it word-for-word, builds a structure based on your chapter targets, analyzes your themes and voice patterns, then generates a full manuscript chapter by chapter. The entire process takes minutes, not months.

What audio formats does D.scribe support?

D.scribe accepts MP3, MP4, WAV, M4A, and most common audio and video formats. You can also paste a YouTube link and D.scribe will pull the audio automatically.

Will the manuscript sound like me or like an AI?

Like you. Before a single chapter is written, D.scribe builds a voice profile from your recordings: your vocabulary, your sentence rhythm, the way you land a point from the pulpit or the stage. Every key point in the draft comes from your own words. Nothing invented. Nothing hallucinated. If a line drifts from how you would say it, rewrite it in the editor and the book stays yours.

How does it maintain consistency across a multi-chapter, 40,000+ word book?

D.scribe was meticulously built to analyze audio content that maps your themes, organizes your key points and plans the ideal structure of your book BEFORE text generation starts. After the draft, an AI coherence pass reads the manuscript end to end and smooths out repeated points, shifting terminology, or gaps between chapters. So chapter nine connects appropriately to chapter two and vice versa. It is built to handle a single conversation, years' worth of sermons, and everything in between.

How much typing will I need to do?

Less than starting from a blank page, but never none. The first draft arrives as a complete manuscript in the built-in editor, where every sentence is editable. Either insert your own text or use the 'Magic Edit' tool to tighten a story, cut a point, or add what's been left out. Nothing is finished until you say it is.

How does Ink work?

Ink is D.scribe's credit system. Every action that uses AI (brainstorming, transcription, analysis, chapter generation and so on) costs a small amount of Ink. Starter plans include 300 Ink per month, Pro includes 660, and Premium includes 1,500. A typical full manuscript runs around 100–200 Ink depending on length. You can always see your balance before taking any action.

How long does it take to generate a manuscript?

Most users go from upload to a full first draft in under an hour. Transcription takes a few minutes; chapter generation typically runs 2–5 minutes per chapter depending on length.

Who is D.scribe for?

D.scribe is built for people who already have something to say — coaches, pastors, speakers, consultants, and experts who think best out loud. If you've been told you should write a book but never had the time or the process to do it, D.scribe is the bridge between your voice and a finished manuscript.
